Jeffrey Kateman has joined Sheppard Mullin from Latham and Watkins as a partner and co-leader of the firm’s Private Equity team. Jeff handles mergers and acquisitions, the representation of private equity clients in leveraged acquisitions of privately held and public companies both in the US and globally. He is involved in acquisitions and dispositions in a broad range of industries including education, clean tech, media and entertainment, health and medical devices, pharmaceutical, internet and technology, retail and consumer products, and sports. He has also represented special committees of boards of directors and bidders and financial advisors in going private and other conflict of interest transactions. He joins Sheppard after spending his whole career at Latham and furthers Sheppard’s strategic goal to continue building the private equity and corporate capabilities globally.
